I haven't used e-book converter, but I heard it was slow and didn't work right (I tried to use it once and failed). In one case it had problem with the page header (not sure if t could be changed for that), and made the book look strange (for a bit it was ok, but the page got distorted). Also, many of you had question with the image compression of PDF files, which is different from the original ones we used (though it is still bitmap). But I think there is little need to change to another type of e-book. This also has another advantage to e-books, it is a lot cheaper than real paper books in real terms (unless you have to send books to America). As for the price you can compare it with Kindle Unlimited, or a book you own you can read online (free) through Kindle.
