How do I create a website using HTML on a Notepad PDF?

Thanks to DESTERIOUS… for the ATA! Some good answers here - Wanted to offer an alternative and well-known solution. But firstly, I’ll reiterate what others have said. Don’t use Notepad, it’ll only cause issues later and will make developing much more tedious. My Choice Atom. Hands down every time. But before I go on, I should say that Atom is hardly a lightweight editor so if that’s what you want, this isn’t for you. Read on though, because you might find the benefits I’m about to tell you of outweigh the installation size. Given that storage is cheap these days, 142MB shouldn’t be a big deal. Anyway, onwards! Reason 1 The dark theme is nice and easy on the eyes. HTML tends to be quite hard on the eyes, IMHO, so that’s a real plus. Reason 2 The Emmet package is fantastic. It allows you to quickly whip up elements with classes, ID’s, or both(!) with no real effort. Animated GIF - Emmet (Sorry for the video watermark - I don’t have a license for the video recording software I use) As you can see, it’s easy to knock up elements with classes and/or ID’s. This doesn’t just work for

tags, it works for any tag. Reason 3 Atom-Live-Server. It’s a live preview for your website that provides all of the features you’ve coded in (not sure if it works with PHP scripts though, likely does) as if the website were live to the general public. It even properly executes your JavaScripts. But not only that! When the preview is open in browser, any changes made to the HTML, CSS, JS, etc. source at automagically reloaded so that you don’t have to do it yourself. You can always view a live preview on e.g. a second screen, and just keep working on the changes. Animated GIF - Atom Live Server Very nice and helpful. Reason 4 As you can see above, I’ve got the HTML and the CSS for that page open at the same time, in the same window, side-by-side. I’ve found that to be so incredibly useful. Hope that helps someone (and that those GIF’s upload & play inline…) **Edit** The GIF’s don’t play inline.

The GIF’s will play if you click and hold the video that's playing along with it(like in Atom and I use as a background).
